Tax Time! One more time for the Silicon Valley carryover loss!
It’s March 2009! Amazing how time flies! So who had jumped in on the taxes for this year? OMG I have an M.B.A and numbers are my friends, but I would NEVER do my own taxes. NEVER! When can Washington DC make it easy –or even EASIER for us to file taxes? So I gathered all my papers and called HR Block –amazing – “totally booked all day Saturday & Sunday!” OMG Next stop: WalMart. My husband asked the young man if he had any openings for the day - -good news: come at 10am! So we brought all our papers with all our gift-that-keeps-on-giving carryovers to him at the desk table at the front of WalMart. If any of you ‘enjoy’ carryovers, like mine from the ‘dot-con’ days of ‘loss,’ you understand why I call them the gift that keeps on giving – OMG! So we completed our taxes. Now all we have to do is wait for the reviewers to complete the cross-check end-to-end. “Maybe Monday” and of course the young gentleman “only works weekends.” So we successfully had a “professional” work the many forms for us BUT we still wait while the subject matter experts plow through the weekend work it seems.
